Tramscape Tramway Photographs

Bochum-Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
Classic Scenes in Central Bochum
For many years, double-ended six-axle Duwag trams dominated the scene in Bochum and the traditional cream livery remained long after most other German cities had abandoned the once-standard colours. In the late 1970s, Stadtbahn-M cars began to make their presence felt and introduced a new red livery to Bochum. Tracks in the city centre had, by that time, been reduced- to the single Hauptbahnhof-Bongardstrasse-Rathaus link, which was to last until December 26th, 2005
