Classic Scenes in
Central Bochum
For many years, double-ended six-axle
Duwag trams dominated the scene in Bochum and the traditional cream
livery remained long after most other German cities had abandoned the
once-standard colours. In the late 1970s, Stadtbahn-M cars began to
make their presence felt and introduced a new red livery to Bochum.
Tracks in the city centre had, by that time, been reduced- to the
single Hauptbahnhof-Bongardstrasse-Rathaus link, which was to last until December
26th, 2005
